Kids Universe
Information
To entertain our smaller family members (those 12 and under who, when accompanied by a paying adult, gain free admission to the festival), this year's Asheville Music Jamboree features the return of the Kid's Universe.
- Arts and crafts activities
- Face painting
- Balloon animals
- Performances by visiting musicians
- Sunday Children's parade
- and much more.
It's a fun environment for all youngsters.
Annual Asheville Music Jamboree Children's Parade
The Kid's Universe area will also serve as the staging area for Asheville Music Jamboree's traditional children's parade, to be held on Sunday afternoon. Kids can bring costumes from home or make their own in the kid's area, where there are markers, yarn, paper plates, etc., provided free of charge.
What to bring from home:
- Playful, lightweight costumes (animals, clowns, knights or damsels, etc.)
- Simple musical instruments (cymbals, tambourines, rhythm sticks, triangles, etc.)
Safety and Security
Asheville Music Jamboree invites children of all ages to share in the fun of the Kids. Universe, and that means that adults are welcome. While this area has been designed with entertainment and education in mind, it is not intended for use as a daycare facility. Its young attendees, their safety and their security remain the sole responsibility of their parents. So festival directors strongly suggest that parents accompany their young ones throughout their Universe stay.
